Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Delayed to 2023

Originally set to release this year, Rocksteady Studios Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League won’t be in our hands until spring 2023.

The Suicide Squad has gained some well-earned infamy after the blockbuster movies showcasing just how awesome they are. Fit for a growing fanbase, this year we were set to get our mayhem on with a video game adaptation, made by Rocksteady Studios. This upcoming title from the creator of the Batman: Arkham games, is going to take the form of an ‘action-adventure shooter’. Where players will have the option to play solo or jump in with up to four friends in co-op. Made all the more exciting by the overall objective, to kill the Justice League. It would seem this time around the heroes of the story aren’t really heroes.

While there had been previous unconfirmed mention of the delay, as of today it has become official. Confirmed on Twitter by the Creative Director and co-founder of Rocksteady, Sefton Hill.

The delay itself seems to stem from the usual reasons. A desire to work further on the title so that it performs well on release. And so that Rocksteady can ‘make the best game’ that they can. Until then we may just have to re-watch the rather gripping trailers and pick the first character we want to play. With well-known names from Suicide Squad, such as Harley Quin, Deadshot, King Shark and Boomerang. It may be hard to pick just one.

 

This first gameplay reveal from December will give you a good idea of just how cool the bad guys can be.
