The Game Chronicles - Stellaris
The Early Years:
Sometime has passed since the Terran Coalition established itself as an Empire in the stars, spreading humanity to what at the time seemed to be the far borders of space and prospering immensely on newfound minerals and discoveries.

Peace however was, as is often with humanity, short lived as the Empire fractured into three distinct factions locked into a state of cold war. Chancellor Alexander headed the United Nations of the Terran Coalition into this new space age, preparing for what seemed like inevitable war with the newly founded Free Martian Republic and the Involis Tech
Corporation.

The peace lasted a generation before Grand Chanceller Tyrov of the Martian Republic declared war and began to bring their fleets into Terran space, the economy took a dive as the entire Empire turned its industry solely towards the production of war machines and fighting a desperate defensive battle against overwhelming forces

Year 2280
The War raged on for long enough for the battles to become stalemates and the invasion to stall, this become a short respite however as it was this year that the Involis Tech Corp decided they would also invade and try to cut out their own piece of the Empire.

Grand Admiral Hector Galciraz of the Terran Coalition defended valiantly but a new fleet had to be commissioned and a fresh young admiral selected to lead it, this resulted in the creation of the 2nd Defence fleet ‘Omega’ under Admiral Isabel. It seemed however to be a momentous decision as with the creation of the second fleet there seemed to be a sudden shift in the war and it was the Martian forces that were on the defence.

Year 2320
After defeating the entire fleet of the Martian Republic outside their home-world of Mars, the fleet of Admiral Hector II proceeded to land an invasion force and bring about the end of the Martian war. Despite suffering heavy losses, the battle would prove to be the deciding factor for the re-establishing of peace within human territories.

On a different front the now more experienced Admiral Isabella proceeded to make advancements of her own, defeating splinter fleets and bombarding Involis owned planets while slowly pushing towards the core worlds. It would seem like good news was all around but yet again it would seem fate had other intentions.

Year 2321
Earth has made contact with its first non-human civilisation in space and it is clear cooperation is not a possibility, a faction of dedicated religious fanatics hell-bent on converting or purging all intelligent life that were now eyeing the war-torn territories of the Terran Coalition.

The only hope humanity had was to swiftly end the war and re-integrate the territories they could before the looming threat of total destruction from this new-found neighbour became a reality.
